Insomnia is a common sleep disorder in which a person finds difficult to sleep. People suffering from this disorder do not feel refreshed when they wake up. Lack of natural sleep leads to several problems such as fatigue, difficulty in concentrating, mood swings and poor performance at work.

One of the most effective natural sleep remedies is removing digital clocks and other electronic devices that glow. Such electronic devices include cell phone, laptops etc. For a better comfort, the National Sleep Foundation recommends a room temperature between 60 and 67 degrees.

USES OF WARM MILK AND HONEY

One of the natural sleep remedies is consuming warm milk and honey. Milk contains amino acid tryptophan which increases the amount of serotonin, a hormone that works as a natural sedative. Carbs like honey also helps to send that hormone to your brain faster.

MANAGING STRESS WITH EXERCISE

To get a natural sleep, try some exercises like Yoga, Meditating or writing a Journal before going to bed. Another powerful sleep inducing and stress reducing exercise namely Tai chi helped many people to fall asleep eighteen minutes faster And get 48 minutes more nightly sleep.

ADOPT  REGULAR BEDTIME

If you always sleep at late night, you are not following a bedtime ritual. Make a habit of going to bed  early and wake up at the same time every day. In one Taiwanese study, music helped most of the people to fall asleep faster.

DRINK HERBAL TEA

To get a natural sleep, drink Herbal tea before going to bed at night. This tea is found in health food stores and when brewed it can lower the time taken to fall asleep and produce a deep satisfying rest. This tea helped many people to enjoy a longer night sleep. According to a recent study from Iran, 30 percent of menopausal  women got better sleep after consuming Herbal Tea.

TAKE A WARM BATH

Taking a warm bath two hours before going to bed will help to induce a longer sleep.
